Plexiglas™ works
These works are made by transferring inkjet (or in the older works, laserjet) prints on to the back of Plexiglas™ that has been sanded to a smooth matte surface finish. I used different types, colors and thicknesses of Plexiglas™ for these works. The color of the plastic ranged from transparent to nearly opaque white to buttery yellows and light greys. The earliest works had paint in the front surfaces, which cast diffuse shadows through the thickness of the plastic to the print on the back, accentuating the physicality of the works.
